Frequently asked questions
What happens at the end of the 14-day trial?
If you don't choose a paid plan, your Company is suspended (workflows pause, no new requests accepted) but your data is preserved for 30 days. Pick a plan in that window and everything resumes; nothing is lost.
Can I downgrade?
Yes. Downgrade from Admin → Billing → Plans. If you're over a lower plan's limits, Nembl will tell you what to clean up first (archive workflows, remove users, etc.) before letting the downgrade go through.
How are users counted?
By active membership — anyone with an AccountMember row on your
Company counts, regardless of whether they signed in this month. Remove
former employees promptly to free up seats.
Your owner counts; service accounts (e.g., for API access) don't.
What counts as a "workflow"?
Each published workflow definition counts toward your plan limit. Drafts are unlimited and don't count. So you can iterate on five in-progress workflow drafts under Starter; only when you publish them do they consume slots.
Can I switch between Individual and Company accounts?
Yes — your Individual account stays valid forever, even after you join a Company. Use the account switcher in the header to flip between contexts. Each context (Individual, each Company) has its own services, workflows, inboxes, and requests.
How does Manage Billing work?
The Manage Billing button on Admin → Billing → Subscriptions opens a secure Customer Portal where you can update payment method, view and download invoices, change billing email and address, and cancel. Cancellations apply at the end of the current billing period; full access continues until then.
Is annual billing available?
Annual billing is on the roadmap for the Growth, Business, and Enterprise tiers (10-15% discount vs monthly). Monthly billing is the only option today on the self-serve tiers; Enterprise contracts can include annual terms now.
What about refunds?
Pro-rated refunds are issued automatically if you downgrade or cancel mid-cycle. For other refund requests, email us within 30 days of the charge.
Are there setup fees?
No. The price you see is the price you pay. No implementation fees, no seat-onboarding fees, no migration fees.
Notes
- Limits are enforced live. When you approach a limit (e.g., 9 of 10 users), the in-app banner gives you a heads-up. Hitting a hard limit blocks the next add-user / publish-workflow action until you either remove an existing entity or upgrade.
- Changing plans takes effect immediately. Billing is prorated to the second.
